Sandy Springs

Earning its name from the actual sandy springs that flow through the area, now protected as important, historical sites, Sandy Springs is located in northern Atlanta. It is the sixth largest city in Georgia, and as such, offers its residents a plethora of benefits.

Many Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies call Sandy Springs home, and you will find Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, as well as other healthcare organizations, within its border. It is comprised of several neighborhoods – Downtown, Riverside, Perimeter Center, the Dunwoody Panhandle and others. As with other expansive, multi-neighborhood areas of metro Atlanta, residents enjoy a bevy of retail shops, hotels, dining options and entertainment venues.

Sandy Springs real estate is also varied. Many communities are filled with brick, ranch-style homes, while newer condominium units and trendy housing options abound. The area also has a Community Services department – responsible for maintaining cohesion and the flow of information among the many neighborhood associations – to ensure that, despite its growth and expansion, a focus on community is retained in Sandy Springs.
