Dunwoody

Originally pioneered in the 1830s, what is now known as one of DeKalb County’s most desirable communities, Dunwoody was named after Major Charles Dunwody, a Civil War soldier.

Dunwoody has grown into one of Atlanta’s premiere suburbs, boasting award winning schools – including charter schools – an extraordinary business presence, as well as the finest dining and shopping around. Conveniently located along the northern perimeter, Dunwoody offers many different housing options, including properties on the Chattahoochee River, established neighborhoods, townhomes and new construction. Tree-lined streets and a strong sense of community are two of many reasons Dunwoody residents love to call this neighborhood home.

There are several attractions in Dunwoody: Brook Run Park, Dunwoody Nature Center, Perimeter Mall, Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Players and many more.
